On Saturday, May 15, 2010 Fun Run 4 Kids will sponsor a 5K run/walk race, along with kids’ races, at Canyon Glen Park located in Provo Canyon. 100% of the proceeds from race participants will be donated to children in Africa in care of Reach the Children, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 non-profit humanitarian organization.

Where: Canyon Glen Park, Pavilion 2, Provo Canyon

Entry Fee: Pre-registered: $15 Adults, $10 Children (0 – 12)

Day of race: $25 Adults, $20 Children

Time: Registration–8:00 AM

Races start–9:00 AM

The 5K race will begin at 9:00 AM. Race participants will be bussed from Canyon Glen to Vivian Park in Provo Canyon between 8-8:30 AM. The race will start at Vivian Park at 9:00 AM and will follow the Provo River Trail to Canyon Glen.
Note 1. Race participants can run or walk. Strollers are welcome; however, bikes, roller blades, skateboards, etc., are not allowed in the race. Note 2. Individual time stats will not be available, but a race clock will be visible at the finish line for all participants who wish to keep track of their time. Note 3. At approximately 9:45 – 10:00 AM, awards will be presented to the top 5K finishers. (Please note that awards for the 5K race will not be based on age category, but on the top finishers overall.)

Kids’ Races

At approximately 10:00 AM the following Kids’ Races will start:

100 Meter 0 – 2 yrs

1/4 Mile 3 – 4 yrs

1/2 Mile 5 – 6 yrs, 7 – 8 yrs

1 Mile 9 – 10 yrs, 11 – 12 yrs

Prizes will be given to all children who participate. Parents can run along side their children to offer support, but cannot hold their hand.
